Necklace Sizing & Measurements

Understanding Moss & Raven Necklace Measurements

All Moss & Raven talismans and ritual necklaces are measured by their wearable length — the full length of the necklace when worn around the neck.

Many pieces are created using adjustable sliding cord closures, allowing the necklace to sit closer to the throat or be worn longer depending on personal preference.

Because each piece is handcrafted, measurements may vary slightly from one talisman to another.

How To Measure Necklace Fit

To understand how a piece may sit when worn:

  1. Take a piece of string, ribbon, or cord
  2. Measure it to the listed wearable length
  3. Place it around your neck
  4. Adjust it until it sits where you would naturally wear the piece

This gives a much clearer understanding of how the talisman may sit once worn.

Adjustable Cord Necklaces

Many Moss & Raven pendants are created with adjustable sliding closures.

This means the necklace can often be worn:

  • closer to the throat
  • at upper chest length
  • or slightly longer depending on adjustment

The listed measurement reflects the approximate maximum wearable size unless otherwise stated within the product listing.

Handcrafted Nature

Each talisman is individually woven and assembled by hand using natural stones and cord.

Slight variations in:

  • length
  • knot placement
  • stone shape
  • pendant position

are part of the handcrafted nature of the piece and make every talisman one of a kind.

Measuring Notes

  • Wearable length refers to the necklace circumference when worn
  • Pendant size is separate from necklace length unless stated
  • Measurements are approximate
  • Natural stones vary in shape and size

Ritual Wear & Personal Preference

Some wear their talismans close to the throat as protective or devotional pieces. Others prefer them worn lower over the chest during ritual practice or daily wear.

There is no correct way to wear a talisman — only the way that feels aligned to the path you walk.
